Charitable Events and Contributions

(The remains of the beach house on East Beach on Galveston Island. Most other nearby structures were completely demolished by Hurriance Ike)

The TCTAA is recognized by the IRS as a wartime veterans organization and is thus a charitable organization. All contributions are thus fully deductible. Our first charitable act was to provide financial assistance to one our members, Steve Privette, whose home was completely demolished by Hurricane Ike, which ravished the Texas Gulf Coast and the region around Galveston Bay. Members contributed $1,800 which was passed on to the Privettes, who are currently living in an apartment while they rebuild their lives.

While membership dues are not tax deductible, contributions to our organization are. If desired, contributions may be made in the name of a troop carrier/tactical airlift veteran or member and we will set up a web page in honor of that person.

Send your contributions to TCTAA treasurer Ralph Bemis.
